ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT

ATNM we believe, media and documentaries are powerful tools for driving economic empowerment. Through storytelling and visual engagement, they raise awareness, educate, and inspire action on key issues. By showcasing real-life stories and challenges, documentaries promote local industries, advocate for policy changes, and connect businesses to broader markets. They can amplify the voices of marginalized communities and highlight opportunities for sustainable growth, making media an essential platform for fostering economic development and empowering individuals and regions with limited access to resources.

STREPHIT

The STREPHIT project aims to enhance plant health in Tanzania and ensure the country meets European Union (EU) standards for exporting agricultural products. The primary objectives of the project include upgrading laboratory facilities, renovating border posts, and strengthening the Border Plant Health Protection Authority. This initiative focuses on testing food, ensuring that crops are free from pests and harmful pesticides, and improving plant health inspection processes. ATNM played a crucial role in the project by producing a documentary series highlighting the Food and Agriculture Organization’s (FAO) efforts to enhance plant health and improvement of laboratories. Additionally, ATNM supported the handover of equipment essential for the project’s success. Key achievements of the STREPHIT project include successfully documenting the renovations of laboratories and border posts, as well as ensuring the improvements contribute to meeting EU standards. These advancements are expected to significantly boost Tanzania’s agricultural exports, which is vital for the country’s economy, as agriculture remains its economic backbone.
